PART TIME COOKING ASSISTANT
We are seeking an experienced part-time COOKING SCHOOL ASSISTANT!
At Great News! Cookware and Cooking School, overall success and growth is based on effective communication and teamwork. The Cooking School Assistant plays a critical role in the Cooking School.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years culinary and/or restaurant experience. Culinary Degree preferred.
He/she will have excellent communication skills, is passionate about the culinary arts, be willing to learn our extensive recipes and cooking techniques, and has a neat appearance and a courteous demeanor. It is expected that he/she will prepare and portion food for classes, assist in cooking classes and events, know food and work area safety requirements, participate in inventories, work with minimal supervision from the Cooking School Managers, and communicate effectively with the Cooking School team, customers, outside vendors, and instructors.
This is an hourly 16 to 29 hours a week position; scheduled shifts will vary from week to week. Must be available to work various AM and PM shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Our Cooking School Assistants can expect this position to be both fun and demanding.

Part-Time Host/Hostess
Our Hosts and Hostesses play a critical role in representing the Cooking School. They are responsible greeting and checking in customers, anticipating the needs of our customers and staff, and taking action as appropriate.
We are interested in someone with:
- a minimum of 1 year hosting experience in a fast paced environment.
- excellent customer service and communication skills.
- a neat appearance and a courteous demeanor with a constant smile.
This is an hourly 10 to 29 hours a week position. Many of our private and public events that require a Host/Hostess take place between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM on weekdays.
Candidates must be available to work the following shifts:
Wednesday 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Tuesday OR Thursday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Other possible shifts include:
Friday 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday OR Sunday 5 hour shifts between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate
The Sales Associate is a key player on the Retail Floor as he or she is the first person our customers will interact with both on the phone and in the store.
We’re looking for someone with:
- a minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably in kitchenware.
- excellent communication skills.
- a desire to learn about our extensive product line and to sell those products with the knowledge of features and benefits.
- a neat appearance and a courteous demeanor with a constant smile.
It’s expected that our Sales Associates will work with minimal supervision from the management team and attend required meetings. You must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
This is a 20 to 29 hours a week position; scheduled shifts will vary from week to week. Candidates must be available to work some nights and Saturday or Sunday. This is a commission less hourly pay position.
